I often wonder if music has the same emotional meanings to my parents as it does to me. Music has such sentimental and emotional attachments to me. Certain songs convey a certain meaning. But I never see my mom or dad get glassy eyed over a song. Or get tense and focused. When does music stop having a meaning and become "just rock and roll?"
God I hope I don't grow up.

Music stops having meaning when your kid buys his/her first first cd of crap and all the lessons you'd thought you'd conveyed to your children about what is god and bad is thrown out the window.
I think if you're so moved by music now, you'll always be. Maybe your parents didn't feel the same way about music when they were your age. Stay true to who you are.
that was beautiful, stay true sweeney.
