This is What Happens When I'm Sick With Nothing To Do

Yeah, so my head is pounding and I keep getting nose bleeds, I think it's sinus pressure or something. Anyway, it kept me out of commission today. I made that with a kleenex stuffed in my nose. Yup. Holla with the new comment boxes. Werd.

Well, since Maciej or Napes or Kevin haven't posted on it, I guess I will. Last night there was a birthday party at a one Ms. Katie Napelton's house in Burr Ridge. And let me say, it achieved the status of a House Party to the Pajammy-Jam. What a night. Highlights:

-Tim Marco getting his hair set by a flock of girls
-Getting a milkshake
-Playing Catchphrase
-"You put these in the freezer cause you can't eat them!"
-"I dunno, I've haven't tried yours [Milkshake]"
-Maciej dancing in, dancing around the room, and then knocking over the phone
-The giant dance party
-The giant skank party to Save Ferris's cover of "Come On Ellien"
-Rocking out to Weezer
-Almost dying from dancing so much (no kidding)
-Getting to say, "I feel infinte" and having it make sense

Lowlights of the eveing:

Oh, wait, there weren't any. What a night. Really, I can't express how much fun it was. For some reason, on every occasion in which I hang out with the D3 crew, it turns into a massive dance party. Which is awesome. I just wish I knew how to dance.

A big Holla to every one who was there, I can't name them all, there were just too darn many. But some standout players: Siby - yeah getting out of the house, Jim Cotigs - I haven't hung out with him since grade school, and Mikey Mo - Jesus, that kid can skank

Anyway, it was a great night. Looking forward to Ska is Dead and You're Next tour, especially now that Mike, Nicole, and Sarah are on board. I'm gonna go for a bike ride, flipside yo.

Ah, long time no post. So, last week was the Kairos, and all I've heard this week was how we failed badly. That makes me feel so proud. Anyway, that's over so that's cool. I don't know what else to say, I'm sure there'll be a bigger post later this week... if I get the time. Laters.

Oh, I need out of this place.

"Are you gonna go see the Passion?"
"I don't think so. What? Are you mad that I wont?"
"Yeah, a little."
"Why?"
"I think you should go see it."
"Why?"
"Because it's your religion."

Oh, Lord have mercy on me. This is why I cannot stand living in this town. My mom told me she wont let my brother join Film Club next year because we view films (FILMS mind you) like "One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest." Gee, you wouldn't want to to become cultured or something would you? And then to compare "The Passion" to a religion. Uh, hate to break it to everyone, but IT'S A MOVIE. THEY'RE ACTORS, WRITERS, DIRECTORS NOT SAVIORS AND PROPHETS. Mel Gibson was not there when Jesus got nailed to the tree. To say that "The Passion" is "my religion is a slap in the face. As I said to my mom and my younger sister (I love the complete lack of independent thought) "The Passion" is not dogma. God did not come down and make this movie, Mad Max did. Until the Pope says that this is dogma, the way it happened and that the lead singer from the Smashing Pumpkins is the devil, then, no, I prolly wont go see this movie. "It's your religion." God help me.

And then, when I bring up the points that my religion is in a church in the center of town, that actors and not Jesus Christ are on the screen, that the money isn't going to help the poor and sick, that it is going to the Cineplex and Mel, that it isn't Caltholic Dogma, that it is Mad Max's interpretation of the scripture, and that it's a freaking moving-picture; my family procedes to become angry with me. Arg. I can't express how frustrating this is to me. Riverside is a bubble community. I need to break out. Well, this was a rant. But I needed it. Is anyone else's family like this? Up, there goes that independent thought alarm. Gotta go.

Ouch, so sore from basketball. For an accurate telling of the events of Saturday, visit D3, and see my face. The drive to and from was good, Junior Senior there, a real political/moral descussion the way back. And on Friday, Dave's car died, that was fun. Let's go to work.
